RSV and Flu vaccines

Protect Yourself This Respiratory Virus Season!

Older adults are at higher risk of severe illness from respiratory infections such as influenza, COVID-19, and RSV. Getting vaccinated is the best way to stay protected.

It is safe and convenient to receive both the flu and COVID-19 vaccines at the same time, helping reduce the need for multiple appointments.

RSV Vaccine

The Ontario Ministry of Health is now offering a publicly funded RSV vaccine for:

  • All adults 75 years and older
  • High-risk individuals aged 60–74 who have not previously received the vaccine
  • Infants born on or after April 1, 2025, who are under 8 months of age
  • High-risk children up to 24 months of age
  • Pregnant individuals between 32–36 weeks gestation who will deliver during RSV season

At Rideau-Rockcliffe Family Medicine, eligible patients can receive the RSV vaccine during regular appointments or during walk-in injection hours.

Flu Vaccines

The influenza vaccine is available for all patients, fully funded by OHIP.

We will be organizing flu vaccine clinics for high-risk patients (those under age 2 or over 65).

Stay tuned for clinic dates and details

Covid Vaccines

Please note that COVID-19 vaccines are not available at our clinic.

Pharmacies remain the main way for Ottawa and Ontario residents to access COVID-19 and flu vaccines.
